One of the most respected physicians in northern Kerala with more than 25 years of experience, Dr. K Sudeep is an expert in Diabetology and all types of complex medical disorders. Acclaimed for his profound knowledge and expertise in comprehensive management of diabetes mellitus, he is one of the key opinion makers among the physicians in Kannur.
Dr K Sudeep is from Karivellur village in Kannur district. Graduated from the University of Calicut at Calicut Medical College in 1988. Completed MD in General Medicine from Government Medical College Coimbatore, Tamil Nadu, India in 1996. In 2007 completed a post graduated diploma in Diabetology at Annamalai University, Tamilnadu. Done Practical Diabetology - The Steno course conducted by Steno Education Center, Denmark in 2008 and completed certificate course in Evidence Based Diabetes Management by Public Health Foundation of India in 2012.
Started his medical career at Badagara co-operative Hospital, Kerala, India in 1989-91 as Medical Officer and later as the Medical Superintendent. Joined with Calicut Medical College in 1991-92 as Tutor in General Medicine. Enrolled in Kerala Govt. Health Services as Assistant Surgeon during 1996-98. Worked with Academy of Medical Sciences (ACME) Pariyaram (now GMC Kannur) as Assistant Professor during 1998-04 and worked as Associate Professor during 2004- 2008 and continuing as a Professor.
Professional activities includes a verity of clinical and teaching activites. Apart from teaching MBBS, MD(Gen. Medicine) students theory and clinical classes; postgraduates from other specialties like Dermatology, Emergency Medicine, Pulmonary Medicine also. Includinging BDS (Bachelor of Dental Surgery), BSc.Nursing, Pharm.D students.
Member of Research Committee, GMC Kannur.
Conducted Undergraduate and Postgraduate examinations at various universities inside and outside of India. Performed role of question setter for theory examination for different universities.
Specially interested in patient care of Diabetes and lifestyle diseases. Published papers in various national and international publications.
